Milwaukee Admirals

A native of Toronto, Moro spent parts of four seasons in Milwaukee from 1998 to 2002. As an Admiral, his leadership on and off the ice led him to become the team captain three years in a row (1999-2002). In his free time, Moro could be found with his teammates, often taking rookies under his wing.

“Marc Moro was one of the best leaders we have ever had. Every day he as a professional and every day he trained to be an NHL regular," said Admirals General Manager Paul Fenton. "He personified everything that we look for in a player and a leader both here in Milwaukee and also in Nashville.”

Moro’s fierce attitude on the ice and willingness to stick up for his teammates tallied him the most penalty minutes during his first season in Milwaukee with 264 minutes. He completed his Admirals career with a total of 738 PIM landing him 8th in all-time Ad’s history. He never finished lower than 3rd in PIM when playing a full season in Milwaukee.

A member of the Admirals squad when the team transitioned from the IHL to the AHL, Moro’s hard work pushed the Admirals to the playoffs twice. Known for his prowess in the defensive zone, Moro still contributed on offense, tallying 8 goals and 27 assists during his Admirals career.

Moro’s consistent play earned him a call up to the Predators on multiple occasions. He played 27 games and accumulated 75 PIM over the course of 3 seasons with the Preds.

Moro made team history when he became the only team captain to ever be traded in the midst of the season. In 2002, Moro was traded to Toronto where he has stayed since and is currently an analyst for the Maple Leafs, Leafs TV. His successful hockey career has led him to achieve such a position.
