Milwaukee Admirals

Important Points on the Line

Posted By: Aaron Sims

November 03

It’s a big week for the Admirals with three home games, the only three home games in the month of November.

Starting with tonight’s game, the Admirals and Rockford have played the fewest games in the division: nine. With ten points, Milwaukee is five points behind division leaders San Antonio and Oklahoma City. The Admirals are four points behind third-place Peoria, two behind fourth-place Texas and a point behind fifth-place Chicago.

Tonight is Milwaukee’s first look at the IceHogs. The teams will meet 10 times this season with a possible 20 points on the line.

The Admirals have already lost once to the Rivermen this season. There’s a possible 18 points on the line with Peoria.

Milwaukee has earned just two of six possible points against Chicago, the opponent Sunday at the Bradley Center. There are 14 possible points remaining against the Wolves.

Each of the games this week is technically a 4-point game. It doesn’t matter if it’s early or late in the season, points matter. Milwaukee needs a big week.

Moving on…

Admirals forward Linus Klasen confirmed to us on Milwaukee Admirals Center Ice that his father, Robert, was the drummer for a Swedish band called Noice. Here’s a video of Linus joining them for a show in 2008. Linus told us he played drums since he was a very little boy and attributed his excellent hand-eye coordination to pounding the skins.

I leave you with an artist we’ve been grooving on in the office this last week: Bobby Bare, Jr.

Here’s a bonus. A dear friend of mine works for a radio station in Lacrosse and is quite a musician. He recorded a parody song (in one take) lamenting the Randy Moss situation in Minnesota. Give it a listen.
