Hello and welcome to my first blog! These will probably be sporadic at first, but once the season begins I hope to do one each week. Let me start off by giving you a little bit of my hockey background. I played for four seasons at the University of Alberta and we won the CIS Championship in 1991-92. Then in my first year pro I won a Calder Cup Title with the Cape Breton Oilers (Dave Andrews was the GM of that team) and I also won a Turner Cup in the IHL with the Detroit Vipers.

Over the course of my career I played a fair number of times in the Bradley Center against the Admirals. I always remember that the building was a great place to play and the fans always brought a lot of energy, just as I am sure they still do.

I played 11 seasons pro, including the last two in Europe, before retiring and getting into coaching, which was something that I always wanted to do. When I was at the U of A I was a coaching major and even coached a Bantam AAA Team.

On a personal note, my wife and I and my two daughters have found a place to live here in Milwaukee. It wasn’t too hard, but it obviously is something that you want to get taken care of right away. My daughters will start school very soon, as one is in middle school and the other is in high school.
