Amazingly the first month of the season is almost over already! Doesn’t it seem like it just started?
We’ve certainly had a lot of turnover on the roster in the first month of the season as the Predators have been looking for the right mix of players to get themselves going. Hopefully there will be stability soon as it would certainly help both teams. I think one of the reasons for our success last year was the stability that we had throughout the season with very little shuffling around. Obviously we want our guys to get their chance at the NHL level but we’d also like to get some continuity with our squad being together.
Opening Night was very special. I hope that everyone enjoyed it. It was an honor to spend time with our special guests.
We have another special night coming up on November 6 when we host our annual Veterans Night celebration. We invite all active and retired military to join us for free that night. It’s a night that has continued to grow and grow every year and I hope that this will be the biggest one yet. We’ll also be joined by a gentleman named Ermin Humpal, a World War II and Korean War Veteran, who will drop the ceremonial opening puck. Mr. Humpal was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. It will be an honor to meet him.
If you know of any active military members or veterans in the area, please tell them about this opportunity.
Also, we are proud sponsors of the Milwaukee Veterans Day Parade which will take place in downtown Milwaukee on Saturday, November 7. We hope you will all attend!
Go Admirals!
