I hope that everyone’s Christmas and Boxing Day holidays were a lot of fun. It’s been a great week here in the Admirals organization with two big wins to start the week and Cal O’Reilly being named to the All-Star team. He’s been up and down to Nashville a few times but he has been a really good player for us when he has been here. It’s going to be fun to watch him in Portland, Maine on January 18-19. You’ll be able to see him on TV as well as Time Warner Cable here in Milwaukee is picking up the telecasts of the Skills Competition and the All-Star Game.
I am really looking forward to New Year’s Day for a variety of reasons.
First, it’s a New Year! A new chance to do great things. I hope you all have a phenomenal 2010!
Second, the NHL’s Winter Classic will be played at Fenway Park in Boston between the Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers. Having been to the last Winter Classic at Wrigley Field, I know that it will be a memorable experience for those players and fans. It will also be great to see the Dropkick Murphys as part of the celebration. They are playing at our game on February 27 so you can get a sense of who they are by watching NBC on New Year’s Day.
Finally, we are playing the Houston Aeros at 6 pm at the Bradley Center. It’s a Private Bank Family Night so you can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four small sodas for just $40. You have to buy them in advance though and not at the ticket windows. Also, you can bring your skates and take a trip or two around the BC ice right after the game. And, we’ll have a fun appearance by the Zooperstars during the game. It’s a great way to get yourself off the couch and come down and have some fun with us.
Happy New Year!
Go Admirals!
