Congratulations to Claude Noel on being named head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets! Claude is very deserving of being a head coach in the NHL. He certainly has a difficult job ahead trying to turn around a team mid-season but if given a chance, I think Claude will be an excellent coach in the National Hockey League. I wish him the best of luck except when they are playing Nashville.

We just came off a spectacular January where we had three crowds over 10,000 and averaged more than 7,000 fans a game. Your support means everything to us and we are grateful that you choose to spend your discretionary income with the Milwaukee Admirals. February is certainly full of more promotional fun as well as a steady dose of home games. We’ve already played one, a solid win over Texas on the Salute to #2 Night, and there are seven more home games ahead, all against divisional rivals this month. Speaking of #2 Night, thanks to Green Bay Packers Kicker Mason Crosby and his wife, Molly, for joining us that night. They are really nice people and it was a pleasure to meet and work with them.

Upcoming promotions include Reinhart Partners UW Badger Band Night and Palermo’s Pizza Goalie Glove Oven Mitts (3,500) on February 5, US Bank Abraham Lincoln Bobbleheads (5,000) on February 12, the Annual Admirals Charity Game on February 14, Admirals/Brewers Baseball Caps (5,000) on February 19, Children’s Hospital Growth Charts for kids 14-and-under (1,500) and the Tribute to Wrestling on February 21 and the Dropkick Murphys presented by Miller Lite and Time Warner Cable on February 27. There is also a Private Bank Family Day on February 21 and the second and final game in the Admirals/Brewers Two Man Advantage on February 19.
