It has been an amazing stretch of games at the Bradley Center. The crowds have been fantastic. It’s been great fun to have so many people in the seats experiencing Admirals hockey, many for the first time. I would say that if you were at the game against Chicago on February 27 prior to the phenomenal Dropkick Murphys show that you saw a game for the ages. It was a fantastic hockey game and, according to many long-time Admirals observers, one of the best games they could remember seeing.
There is another concert coming up on Saturday night with Foreigner coming to town after the Admirals game against Toronto. I expect another great crowd and hopefully a high-energy performance from our team to match what should be a tremendous show from Foreigner. I had the opportunity to see them at the Wisconsin State Fair last August. They put on a fantastic show with hit after hit after hit. It should be a lot of fun.
It’s getting to be the stretch run with only 16 games left as of March 8. We need to pile up a few wins and keep the pressure on in the West Division. Hopefully we will be able to do that and stay healthy heading into the Calder Cup playoffs. After this week’s games, all but three of our games will be against teams in our division. There will be lots of chances to affect our position in the standings and hopefully we will play well.
See you at the BC!
Go Admirals!
