Last night was one of the most exciting nights for me as President of the Admirals since taking over a little more than five years ago. Sitting up in the press box at the All-State Arena watching our guys never quit and rally from a three goal deficit to force game six was inspiring. They took the NEVER SAY DIE attitude and gave us another chance to play hockey at the Bradley Center this week.
There were many great performances in this gutsy effort but I wanted to single out the play of Chris Mueller last night. His tenacity and effort during the second period, in my opinion, was the spark that got us going. He muscled his way through three checks with the puck which led to the Admirals second goal by Mark Santorelli. Chris was everywhere last night and his energy will be something permanently etched in my memory.
The crowds at the Bradley Center for the first two games have totally been into the games. We need that again on Friday night for Game 6. You should know what a huge help you can be. Your energy brings a lot to the players on the ice. Your cheering, your noise, your enthusiasm is what makes a good night into a great night.
We need you to help force a Game 7!
