On this Thanksgiving let me wish you all a great holiday with friends and family. Please have safe travels wherever you may go.

Please also take time to think about the things that you are thankful for on this special day. Here are some of mine.

I am thankful for my family for the great support over the years to do my job the best that I can especially to my wife, Shannon, who has sacrificed and given up a lot so that I could effectively do my jobs with the Brewers and the Admirals. It’s our wedding anniversary on the 29th so this thank you is twice as meaningful. I am also immensely thankful for my daughter, Caroline, who keeps me young. It’s a blast to watch her grow up although it’s happening too quickly.

I am thankful for my parents, Ray and Doris, who taught me the merits of hard work and to always treat people with respect.

I am thankful to Harris Turer for the opportunity he has given me with the Admirals over the past five-plus years. I didn’t know if I was ready for the responsibility of running a professional sports franchise when he asked me to do the job but he has given me the tools and the confidence to make it successful so far.

I am thankful to all of the Admirals coaches and players who have been here over the years. They have given us a lot of fun days and nights on the ice and they’ve also been great stewards for the organization in our community.

I am thankful for my staff. They are some of the most creative, fun-loving, hard-working people I have ever known and I am extremely lucky to work with them every day.

I am thankful for all of our season ticket holders and corporate sponsors. They are the backbone of our organization. Without their support we would not be in business.

I am thankful for all of you for taking the time to read this blog and spend some time at milwaukeeadmirals.com.

Finally, I thank God for giving me the life that I have. Through the ups and downs I know that He keeps me steered on the right path.
