Thanks for Helping Children's Hospital

February 14

Thank you to all who came out to support the Admirals and Children’s Hospital on Sunday. We had a great crowd of 14,109 to see us beat Rockford, 5-2 , in one of the stranger games you will ever see. The Admirals scored five goals in the first period and then had just three shots on goal for the rest of the game! That is out of the ordinary to say the very least but we happily will take the two points for the win and get ready for a very busy stretch of games that starts later this week.

Since we finished a weekend of three games in three nights on January 23, and going through this Thursday, February 17, the Admirals will have played just seven games in 26 days. Starting this Friday, we will play 11 games in 15 days. This will be a very difficult journey for the team in order to stay near the top of the tough West Division race but after it’s over on March 5 we have just five road games left for the remainder of the season. We have to work our way through this and then sprint to the finish on our home ice where we will play 10 of our last 12 games. The Bradley Center rink has been a good place for us so far this year as we have a fantastic .729 winning percentage which is third in the league behind only Portland (.760) and Wilkes-Barre Scranton (.733).

It was fun to meet Mark Tauscher at the game yesterday. Congratulations to both he and the Packers on the Super Bowl. Even though Mark was unable to participate in the football game, he was a big part of the team and they may not have gotten that far without his contributions. Look for another exciting Packers announcement with the Admirals later this week.

Lots of fun stuff coming up over the next week. We have 5,000 Bob Uecker bobbleheads that we are giving out on Friday night thanks to the Brewers. You should inquire about the Two-Man Advantage Ticket Plan which can get you two tickets to Friday night as well as two tickets to a Brewers game for just $32. That comes out to just $8 per ticket! Call us at 414-227-0550 and tell us you want to know more about it.

On Sunday, we have 1,500 Roscoe banks for kids, 14-and-under, thanks to US Bank plus we’ll welcome four legendary professional wrestlers as part of our annual Tribute to Wrestling presented by ICAT Logistics. We are bringing in Koko B. Ware, Sgt. Slaughter, The Honky Tonk Man and George the Animal Steele. It’s a heckuva group! It’s also a Private Bank Family Day and Post-Game Skate. For just $44, you can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four small sodas. Bring your skates and take a few laps around the BC ice after the game. It’s a neat experience to skate on the same rink as the Admirals! Just a reminder that the Family Day ticket package has to be purchased in advance and we’ll have special office hours on Saturday from 10-2 to accommodate your ticket needs.

Hope to see you at the rink this week!
