I have been scolded for not posting a blog for a week so here it goes.
Having the professional wrestlers join us yesterday was a blast as it always is. They could not have been nicer and more congenial to our fans. It has become a tradition on that day to have my Dad get his picture taken with the group. I still remember the first year when we had Vern Gagne with us and he put my Dad in the world-famous Sleeper hold. It was a priceless photo that we still talk about to this day. I am already looking forward to next year’s Tribute to Wrestling.
This Friday, we will welcome the Dropkick Murphys back to the Bradley Center. They put on an unbelievable show last year and I expect the same this year. I can say that I have never seen or heard anything quite like them. All I can say is be ready. They have a new disc of music coming out on March 1 called “Going Out in Style” which hopefully will be a big seller for them. They work really hard for their audience and I look forward to seeing them again on Friday night.
The race in the West continues to be very intense. This next two weeks will be really important as we play eight games in 12 days before getting a few days off. Let’s hope that we can continue to play well. I know that Lane Lambert and Ian Herbers will do their best to have the team ready to play each and every night.
