Thank you to everyone for a great season!

Our playoff run was shorter than all of would have hoped but to make it for a 10th straight season was a tremendous accomplishment. I look forward to hopefully making it 11 straight at the end of the 2012-13 campaign.

Now, it’s time to follow our parent club up in Nashville. There are 16 Admirals alums on the roster so we certainly have a vested interest in their success. It is rewarding to think about how these guys came to Milwaukee as green, young professional hockey players and honed their skills in front of all of us. Now, they are looking pretty darn good after the first round win over Detroit. To see Pekka Rinne turn into a superstar and a two-time finalist for the Vezina Trophy is really cool. He’s such a good guy and is always so complimentary of his time in Milwaukee.

The Stanley Cup playoffs have been really fun to watch so far. All of the overtime games and the intensity that is shown in every game is remarkable. It’s great that the television ratings have been as strong as they’ve been. Hopefully the rest of the playoffs will be just as good (because better is hard to fathom).
