Thanks to everyone who has joined us at the BMO Harris Bradley Center so far this season. Through four games, we have the highest total attendance for our ownership group (starting in ‘05-‘06) and a 17% increase over four games last season. We are grateful for your support and look forward to seeing you all again when we FINALLY get back on the 30th to host Chicago.
That night will be the conclusion of our Movember events as well as our night of awareness for the 2012 United Way campaign. We are excited about both of these initiatives which are vitally important in different ways.
The Movember program has many of us, me included, growing mustaches in an effort to raise awareness for men’s health initiatives and primarily prostate cancer research. Prostate cancer kills more than 28,000 men annually in the United States. Many of us have joined the Admirals Movember team and I encourage you to visit us at our team's page. If you could make a donation, that would be much appreciated. At the game on the 30th, the first 1,500 fans will be receiving mustaches thanks to Lucky Tiger Grooming for Men, a great new Admirals corporate partner.
We will also be helping the United Way of Greater Milwaukee as they near the conclusion of the 2012 fund raising campaign. The Admirals have been proud supporters of the United Way and many of the agencies they serve for decades. This year the campaign is trying to reach a goal of $51.5 million dollars raised to help our community in the areas of education, income and health. If you have a workplace campaign, I encourage you to contribute as we’re all in this together. Your support helps make Milwaukee a better place and I thank you for it.
We look forward to seeing you back at the BMOHBC on the 30th. In the meantime we’ll try and win six road games including two in Oklahoma City (11/16-17) and four divisional games with Chicago (11/20, 11/24), Peoria (11/23) and Grand Rapids (11/24).
