I'm Back from My Slumber!

October 05

Hey Fans, Roscoe reporting! Sorry it’s been so long since the last time I wrote, I’ve been busy enjoying the last days of summer and getting ready for the season to start. This weekend was very busy for me, starting on Saturday morning at General Mitchell International Airport where I participated in the MACC Fund Midwest Airlines Plane Pull with all of my other mascot buddies. Our Mascot Team was first up, pulling the airplane across the runway fifteen feet in less than ten seconds! We definitely set the pace for the other groups and I really enjoyed being the anchor for my team with all of my friends. Everyone at the event was a winner in the fight against childhood cancer! Remember, teamwork is very important and this event showed that by working together we accomplished something great!

On Saturday night the Admirals kicked everything off in style on the road in Chicago with a great first win over the Wolves! It was great to hear Aaron Sims on the radio and listen to all the great plays the team made, especially the goals scored by Mark Santorelli, Ian McKenzie and Triston Grant. It looks like the Ads are off to a great start to the year and I can’t wait to see all of our awesome fans at our first home game, October 24th at the Bradley Center. Go Admirals!

Lastly, on Sunday I headed south to visit all my wonderful fans in Racine at Party on the Pavement, a block party to celebrate the end of the summer season. The event was a great success and it was awesome to see everyone with their families! Thank you to all of my fans who called out to me as I walked through the streets; I hope everyone had lots of fun dancing by the music stages and taking pictures with me! Well, that’s all for now, I’m off to get my skates sharpened up for our first game! Until next time, go Admirals!!!
