Hey fans, Roscoe here! After taking a little time off after the end of the season, I’m ready to begin many new adventures out in the community. Summer is a great time to meet Admiral’s fans and make new friends. Hopefully by the end of the summer, I will have many great stories about awesome events I have attended!
Last weekend I had a wonderful time at Palermo’s Square vs. Slice campaign. Participants were asked to vote on whether they preferred a square piece of pizza or a triangle slice of pizza. There was free pizza everywhere! I don’t know if I will ever be able to eat again!
I also attended Wellness Night at Humboldt Park K-8 School. I love to promote healthy activity and there were many games that are fun for kids to take part in. Hopefully they learned that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important!
In the upcoming weeks I have a lot of fun events to attend! On May 29th and 30th, I am going to take Rascal and teach him how to fly a kite at the Family Kite Festival in Veteran’s Park in Milwaukee. I will be there for the grand launch on both days starting at noon when everyone releases there kites for an afternoon of fun! If you wish to attend but don’t have a kite, stop by Gift of Wings located at 1300 North Lincoln Memorial Drive near the park! Hope to see you there!
On June 5th I am attending Laura’s Smile Mile which is a kids run/walk event that will raise money for cancer research. This event will take place in Veteran’s Park. I will be there to support everyone for their much appreciated effort! Also on June 5th, I will be attending Bayshore Safety Day at Bayshore Mall. All aspects of law enforcement and fire protective services will be represented. Hopefully we can all learn something very important!
To close out the upcoming weeks, I will be making an appearance at a 5K run hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County on June 6th. I will be there to encourage all the runners on a job well done! Then on June 7th, I will be attending the pep rally for the Highland View Elementary School PTO Fun Run/Walk for Education. This all sounds like so much fun that I can hardly wait!
Phew! I have a very busy few weeks ahead of me! I’m very excited to meet so many new people and all the Admirals fans that will be in attendance! I’m also starting to get excited for my appearance at Summerfest! This is going to be a great summer! Until next time, Go Admirals!
