Hey fans, Roscoe here! The last few weeks have been very busy but also very fun! I was able to attend many different parades around the Milwaukee area and meet hundreds of new people! Now that the 4th of July has passed, it is time to begin attending other interesting events.
On July 10th, I will be heading to the South Shore Frolics Parade in Bay View which begins at 11 a.m. The University of Wisconsin marching band will be performing their famous “5th Quarter” routine following the parade. There will also be free children’s games as well as fireworks at night! Bring the family and have a fun day!
Also on Saturday, I will be showing my skills at the Samuel C. Johnson Invitational Softball Tournament in Racine at Armstrong Park. I will be taking part in a race with my other mascot friends, which include the RAID Bug, Scrubbing Bubbles, and the OFF can. These guys are pretty fast so hopefully I can keep up with them! I will also be throwing out a few pitches and showing kids the correct and safe way to play softball!
On July 14th, the Milwaukee Wave will be hosting their Summer Soccer Showcase. This event will take place at the U.S. Cellular Arena in downtown Milwaukee at 1:30 p.m. Here I will be greeting kids while watching the talented Wave players participate in their game! This should be an excellent event for families to attend. There will be prizes given away throughout the day as well as other activities that are perfect for kids of all ages!
On July 21st, American Idol comes to the Bradley Center! This is the first time this popular show has come to Milwaukee so I am very excited to be in attendance. Hopefully I will be hitting the right notes and I can get my ticket to Hollywood! Wish me luck!
I know everyone is tired from all of the 4th of July and Summerfest festivities, but if you guys are looking for something fun to do, all of these events offer something unique and exciting! I hope to see you there! Until next time, Go Admirals!
