Hey fans! This is a great time to be a hockey fan! Former Ads players are competing in both the Stanley Cup finals and the Calder Cup championship. I’m rooting for the New Jersey Devils to support former Admirals center and current Devil’s coach Peter DeBoer to win the Stanley Cup!

In the AHL playoffs, it’s a toss-up between the Norfolk Admirals and the Toronto Marlies because both teams have former Ads! Brandon Segal and Cory Conacher both play for the Norfolk Admirals and Kelsey Wilson is now a Toronto Marlie. It’s going to be an exciting series! Who are you rooting for?

Our season may be over, but the summer fun has just begun! I’ve already gotten off to a busy start and can’t wait to see all of you throughout the summer at events I am attending.

I kicked off my Memorial Day weekend at the Family Kite Festival’s Launch of Kites at Veteran’s Park on Saturday and Sunday. Maybe I can get my own Roscoe Kite one day!

The fun continued on Monday at the Elm Grove Memorial Day Parade. It was so great seeing all of the fans that made it out to honor our veterans!

I’m excited to announce that there will be a lot of upcoming events throughout the summer! On May 31 I’ll be at La Causa UPS Field Groundbreaking Ceremony to celebrate the breaking ground of their new athletic field for young athletes. Who else is excited for these future athletic stars to get a new field? I know I sure am! Hope to see you all there!

If you can’t make it out to La Causa on Thursday, I’ll be at the St. Francis Family Movie Night on Friday, June 1 at Milton Vretenar Municipal Park. Bring your dancing shoes and come watch Happy Feet Two at 7 pm. There will also be an inflatable bounce house! My favorite!

The fun doesn’t stop there! I get to hang out with my mascot friends McGruff, Ashes, and Bango (just to name a few) at Bayshore Town Center’s Safety Day on Saturday, June 2! We’ll be learning all about safety and can even see the inside of real emergency vehicles!

I’ll have to get my rest in for Sunday, June 3 for the Silver Lining Boy’s and Girl’s Club 5K for Kids at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Washington County! I’ll be there cheering everyone on! Come hang out with me and enjoy the race!
