Fiddler Comes to Terms with Nashville

Nashville, Tenn.  – Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with forward Vern Fiddler. Fiddler posted NHL career-highs in games played (72), goals (11), assists (15) and points (26) with Nashville in 2006-07. The 5-11, 204-pound center also ranked third on the club in face-off winning percentage (351-329, 51.6%) and notched a career-high +11 rating. The Edmonton, ALTA native played parts of four seasons with the Admirals, posting 97 points (38g-59a), and was also a member of the Ads 2004 Calder Cup Championship team. Originally signed as a free agent by Nashville on May 6, 2002, Fiddler has posted 23 goals and 21 assists (23g-21a-44pts) in 148 career NHL games.
