Lambert to Thrown Out First Pitch Tonight at Miller Park
Aug 3, 2007
Milwaukee, WI—Milwaukee Admirals head coach Lane Lambert will throw out the ceremonial first pitch tonight when the Milwaukee Brewers take on the Philadelphia Phillies tonight at 7:00 pm at Miller Park. Lambert was recently hired to lead the Admirals ship after serving last season as an assistant under Claude Noel, who was hired by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL. Lambert helped to guide the Admirals to a 41-25-4-10 mark and a berth in the Calder Cup Playoffs in 2006-07. Prior to joining the Admirals the Melfort, SASK native served as an assistant for Bridgeport (AHL) and as a head coach in Prince George of the WHL. Lambert will look to best the efforts of Darren Haydar, the last Admirals’ player or coach to throw out a first pitch at a Brewers’ game. Haydar’s pitch would have been right down the middle, however, it managed to travel just 58 feet, instead of the requisite 60 feet six inches that it need to fly, and ended up rolling over the plate. Season tickets for the 2007-08 season are now on sale, starting at just $135. For more information or to purchase season tickets fans can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
