Admirals Set 2007-08 Promotional Schedule

Milwaukee, WI – Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today addition’s to the team’s 2007-08 promotional schedule that features 24 games with promotional giveaways, 13 games with live entertainment, seven dates where fans can take a lap or two around the Bradley Center ice after the game, and Chili Man Chili Whoopee Cushion for 7,500 lucky fans on Leap Day, February 29th.

Highlighting the promotions this season are four bobblehead giveaways. The first one will be on Saturday, January 5th when the first 5,000 fans will receive a bobblehead of current Admirals star Rich Peverley, courtesy of US Bank. Then on Friday, February 22nd Aurora Sports Medicine Institute will sponsor bobbleheads of former Admiral and Wisconsin Badger and current Nashville Predator Ryan Suter for the first 5,000 fans. Admiral’s legend Tony Hrkac will be the focus of a bobblehead on Friday, March 14th, courtesy of Potawatomi Bingo Casino, the same day that the team will retire his number 26 in the rafters. The final bobblehead will honor former general manager/head coach Phil Wittliff for the first 3,500 fans on April 5th, sponsored by M&I Bank.

Other new promotional giveaways this season will be an US Cellular Rally Towels on December 2nd, Palermo’s Pizza Cutters for the first 3,500 fans 18 and over on December 27th, Jockey Tank Tops on January 18th, Special Admirals Jersey Banks from US Bank on February 10th, and Admirals Placemats, courtesy of WM Recycle America on February 17th.

The team also has brought back many of the popular promotional giveaways from previous seasons, such as pink Cheer-Stix on October 17th, courtesy of Palermo’s, Lee Jeans Puck Night on November 2nd, UWM Cinch Sacks on November 16th, We Energies Admirals Calendars on December 14th, Potawatomi Cowbells on December 28th, Admirals Puzzles, courtesy of Children’s Hospital on January 20th, Milwaukee Brewers’ Winter Hats on January 25th, team autographed pennants from Patrick Cudahy on February 8th, Pepsi Trading Cards on March 16th, Jockey Boxer Shorts Night on March 21st, Brewers Baseball Hats on March 30th, and Admiral Team Pictures from US Cellular on Friday, April 11th.

The University of Wisconsin Badger Band headlines the Admirals entertainment this year. The world-famous band will perform at the game on Friday, February 22nd, the same night the team will give out bobbleheads of former Badger Ryan Suter. Milwaukee’s own Pat McCurdy will entertain fans with his music on December 27th and April 5th, while Claude Scott, the Happy Trumpeter, will be at the Bradley Center for games on December 27th and 28th and April 5th and 6th. New entertainment this season will include performances by Reggie the Purple Party Dude on January 20th and March 16th as well as shows by IInd Thought on December 14th and January 5th, Bobby Way & the Way-outs on February 1st, and Slumpbusters on February 29th.

The Admirals are still in the process of scheduling concerts featuring national recording artists, including the team’s annual Country Music Night.

As the team does each year, the Admirals will have a number of promotions with a charitable angle to them. Topping the list is the “Hunt for Pink October” which is designed to raise breast cancer awareness. During the month of October the Admirals will wear helmets with pink ribbons on them that will be auctioned off with the proceeds benefitting the Deanna Favre HOPE Foundation. In addition, the team will have giant pink ribbons emblazoned on the ice and they will also sell special pink Admirals hats for $20 with the proceeds also going to the HOPE Foundation. Deanna Favre will be in attendance at the team’s October 24th game to sign copies of her newly released book, “Don’t Bet Against Me.”

The Ads will play their 3rd annual charitable game on March 30th where all 400-level seats are just $3 and a portion of the proceeds from those seats, as well as from each full-priced 200-level seat, will be donated to the MACC Fund.

Other charitable events include specially designed hero jerseys for the games on April 5th and 6th that will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Power Play Foundation, the Admirals charitable arm. On Friday, December 14th, US Cellular is sponsoring the Teddy Bear Toss where fans bring a new or gently used teddy bear to throw on the ice when the Ads score their first goal. All the teddy bears will then be swept up and donated to Children’s Hospital.

Also back this year are a number of continuity programs that will run throughout the course of the season, headlined by the ever-popular Poop Deck. At all Friday home games fans who sit in the 7-Mile Fair Poop Deck, which is located in section 221, rows S-Z, get a Poop Deck T-shirt to go along with their ticket for only $16.

Foley and Lardner and Time Warner Cable will present Family Days at seven games where fans can purchase four $16 tickets, four hot dogs and four small Pepsi products for only $40. Foley and Lardner also sponsor the Sunday Skate when fans can take a few laps on the Bradley Center ice after each Sunday home game.

Potawatomi Bingo Casino will also sponsor Chuck-a-Puck, where fans can purchase foam pucks at select games for $1 and then throw them onto the ice for a chance to win great prizes. The proceeds from Chuck-a-Puck go to the Power Play Foundation.

Sport Clips Remember Whensdays and Hockey Haven Throwback Thursdays will feature stars of yester-year at each Whensdays and Thursday night game to sign autographs and participate in promotions. The first Remember Whensday will be on October 24th when Christopher Knight, aka Peter Brady, will be at the Bradley Center as the Ads take on the Quad City Flames.

The Aurora Sports Medicine Institute Autograph Corner also returns for another year. At 20 different games during the season two Admirals players will sign autographs after the game in the Autograph Corner, which is located outside section 225.
