Admirals Battle Moose Friday at 7
Nov 1, 2007
Milwaukee, WI– The Milwaukee Admirals hit the Bradley Center ice for the first time this week Friday night at 7:00 pm when they take on the Manitoba Moose at the BC. The first 5,000 fans through the doors will receive a puck courtesy of Lee Jeans and Mt. Olive, one of Milwaukee’s favorite local bands, will perform in the East Atrium before and after the game.
While Admirals games are always an event for families off the ice, Friday’s game will also be a family affair on the ice. John and Mike Vigilante will do battle for the first time ever as opponents after Mike was signed to a try-out contract with the Moose. John, the younger brother by six years, is in his second season with the Admirals and has goal and four assists this year. Mike has played just one game with Moose after starting the year in Gwinnett of the ECHL.
Friday’s game will also be a homecoming of sorts as former Admirals Greg Classen and Scott May both return to the Bradley Center, albeit as members of the Moose. Classen spent parts of five seasons with the Admirals and was the last remaining player from the team’s IHL days to suit up for Milwaukee in the AHL. He was also a member of both the Admirals 2004 Calder Cup Championship team and their 2006 Cup Finalist squad. May joined Classen on the 05-06 Milwaukee squad and chipped in three goals and three assists in 34 games.
