Admirals Donate to Help Flood Victims
Jun 17, 2008
The Milwaukee Admirals rely on the support of the people from all over the state of Wisconsin to help them succeed on the ice. So when it is those same people who are in need of help, the Admirals are proud to offer their support.
On behalf of the organization, Admirals Governor/CEO Harris Turer today presented a check for $2,500 to the Salvation Army during the telethon hosted by Newsradio 620, 94.5 WKTI, and Today’s TMJ4 to help victims of the flood.
In total the telethon, which ran from noon until 6:30 on Tuesday, raised over $100,000 for the recovery efforts.
“So many people have been affected by these floods that we wanted to lend a hand in some way,” said Turer. “We hope that our donation will help to make an immediate impact in the clean-up and repair efforts of already underway.”
