Nashville Agrees to Terms with Triston Grant

Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Triston Grant on a one-year, two-way contract worth $475,000 on the NHL level and $50,000 on the AHL level.

Grant was acquired by the Predators from Philadelphia on June 24, 2008 along with a seventh-round selection in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft for defenseman and former Admiral Janne Niskala. The 6-1, 215-pound left wing has played 197 American Hockey League games with the Philadelphia Phantoms over the past three seasons, notching 37 points (17g-20a) and 570 penalty minutes in addition to logging eight NHL contests with the Flyers in 2006-07.

Originally selected by Philadelphia in the ninth round (286th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-2, 213-pound left wing totaled AHL career highs in goals (10), assists (11) and points (21) in 2007-08.
