Admirals Season Continues in Houston

Milwaukee visits Houston tonight in a battle of teams that opend their respective seasons with wins on Saturday.

The Admirals downed the San Antonio Rampage, 3-1, Saturday. Second-year forward Mike Santorelli scored a goal and added an assist. Antti Pihlstrom and Josh Gratton also tallied for the Admirals. Gratton's goal was short-handed. The Admirals put 26 shots on goal.

The first star of the game was goalie Drew MacIntyre. The new Admirals netminder stopped 39 of 40 shots to post his first win for Milwaukee.

Houston opened the season with a 2-1 win in overtime against the Chicago Wolves. Rookie defenseman Dane Crowley scored the first goal and Krys Kolanos scored the game winner. Kolanos scored 30 goals last season with Quad City. Goalie Nolan Schaefer turned aside 27 of 28 Wolves shots.

Former Admirals Bryan Lundbohm and Marco Rosa currently play for Houston.

Last season, the Admirals posted a 5-2-0-1 record against Houston. However, the Ads were only 1-2-0-1 at the Toyota Center. The last six games in the series have been decided by one goal, including three in a shootout.

Cal O'Reilly has four goals and eight assists in 16 career games against the Aeros. Pihlstrom scored five goals in eight games against the Aeros last season.

With Manitoba, MacIntyre posted a 0-1-1 record vs. Houston with a 1.92 goals against average and a .931 save percentage last season. For his career he's 1-6-1 with a 2.44 GAA and .917 save percentage.

Houston's Jesse Schultz has 13 points in 19 career games against Milwaukee. Kolanos has seven points in seven games against the Admirals.

Goalie Schaefer was 1-2-0 with a 2.94 GAA and a .905 save percentage last season against the Admirals. In his career against Milwaukee, his record is 3-4-1 with a 2.77 GAA and a .903 save percentage.
