Milwaukee, WI—With a four-game winning streak in hand, the Milwaukee Admirals hit the ice for a pair of afternoon contests this weekend at the Bradley Center beginning with a 1:00 pm matinee against the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, followed by a 5:00 pm contest versus the Grand Rapids Griffins on Sunday.
Saturday’s contest is the back-end of a home-and-home set with the IceHogs and it is the lone Saturday afternoon home game for Milwaukee this season. The Admirals topped the Hogs 2-1 in a shoot-out on Wednesday night in Rockford, thanks in large part to a 36-save performance by Ads netminder Drew MacIntyre, his second consecutive shoot-out victory.
On Sunday the Admirals will play the Griffins in the first of two straight against their Lake Michigan Rival. The first 5,000 fans will receive a set of Cheer Stix, courtesy of Old Wisconsin Sausage. Sunday is also a Foley & Lardner Family Day. Fans can purchase four $16 tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for just $40 and when the game is over fans can take a lap or two around the Bradley Center Ice as part of the Foley & Lardner Family Skate. Family Day packages must be purchased 24-hours in advance.
Both Saturday and Sunday’s games also feature the Aurora Sports Medicine Institute Autograph Corner. After each game two Admirals players will sign autographs in the autograph corner, located on the main concourse outside section 225. Currently scheduled to appear in the autograph corner on Saturday are defenseman Cody Franson and forward Ian McKenzie and winger Andreas Thuresson and defenseman Teemu Laakso will sign after Sunday’s fray.
