Jim Jackson’s slapshot from the right point bounced off Josh Soares in front of the net to teammate Trent Whitfield in the left circle. Whitfield planted the puck into the net at 5:50 for the Rivermen lead.

Milwaukee tied the game just 28 seconds later. Werner won a faceoff in the left circle of Peoria’s zone to Alex Sulzer at the left point. Sulzer’s shot was deflected in by Kelsey Wilson for his sixth goal of the season. Wilson was screening the goalie and was able to tip the puck into the net. Sulzer and Werner notched the helpers.
