Feb 12, 2009
Milwaukee, WI—The Milwaukee Admirals return to the Bradley Center this weekend for a pair of games in their season long five-game homestand. On Friday night the Ads will play host to the hated, but certainly not feared, Chicago Wolves at 7:00 pm and after a day off on Saturday, host the Quad City Flames in a 4:00 pm matinee.
At both games this weekend the Admirals will wear retro jerseys, circa 1978, that will be auctioned off via a silent auction with the winning bidders having the opportunity to take the jersey off of the player’s back following the game on Sunday. The auction begins at 6:00 pm on Friday and will conclude at the five minute mark of the second intermission at Sunday’s contest. Winning bidders are required to pay for their jerseys at the conclusion of the auction.
While the players are wearing retro jerseys on the ice, the first 5,000 fans through the gates on Friday will receive a retro Admirals t-shirt, courtesy of U.S. Bank. The game on Friday is also a Chipotle Fiesta Deck night. For just $16 fans receive a Chipotle Burrito Buck, which is good for a free burrito at any Chipotle location, a ticket for the game in section 221, and a kazoo.
Sunday’s game is the Admirals first ever Dog Day Afternoon, sponsored by Pedigree, where fans can bring their dogs to the game along with them for only $2 and $1 from every dog ticket will be donated to the Wisconsin Humane Society. The Admirals will sell only 500 dog tickets for the game and all dogs, and their owners, will be seated in the 400-level. There will be a dog watering station located on the concourse of the 400 level as well and all dogs should enter on the Northwest corner (Gate D) of the building.
In addition the first 2,500 fans will receive a Pedigree Dog Bowl, regardless of whether they have a canine with them or not. Plus, the Humane Society will have an information table on the 200-level concourse and they will also have dogs that are available for adoption at the game as well.
Along with Stan’s Fit for Your Feet, the Admirals will also be conducting a shoe drive at Sunday’s contest. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used shoes to a table on the concourse at section 203. Any fan who donates shoes will receive a discount offer from Stan’s for a new pair, limit one discount per person. The shoes will then be donated to Soles4Souls, a national non-profit group that provides free footwear to victims of disasters and people in need.
On Sunday fans can also take advantage of one of the best deals in town with the Foley & Lardner Family Pack which includes four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for only $40. Plus, fans can take a lap around the Bradley Center ice after the game in the Foley & Lardner Family Skate.
