Preds Kick-off Training Camp September 12

Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville Predators 2009 Training Camp will open with testing, both on- and off-ice, physicals and photos on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Centennial Sportsplex. The ice rinks, Predators facilities and the indoor tennis complex will be used on Day One of camp. The team’s first on-ice practice will be on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. at Centennial Sportsplex.
The majority of the Predators’ 11th training camp will be conducted at Centennial Sportsplex from Sept. 12-27. The 56 players in camp will be divided into two groups for the first five days of action (group rosters will be available at a later date), with a scrimmage session scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. All practices at the Sportsplex are free and open to the public.
The Predators will also hold a Rookie Camp from Sept. 8-15 with a 20-man roster featuring Predators draft picks from the past three seasons in addition to several free agent signees or invites. Prospects will perform on-ice testing and off-ice workouts on Wednesday, Sept. 9, then hold their first practice at 1 p.m. the following afternoon at the Sportsplex. Rookie Camp will culminate with a pair of games against a team of Atlanta Thrashers rookies Sept. 14-15 at Duluth IceForum outside of Atlanta.
