Franson Earns First NHL Recall
Oct 16, 2009
Milwaukee, WI--Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Cody Franson from the Milwaukee Admirals.
The recall is the first of his career for Franson, who has a goal and an assist in the Admirals first three games this year. Last year the Sicamous, BC native was third on the Milwaukee roster and first among the team’s blueliners with 52 points (11g-41a) in 76 games during the regular season and notched eight points (3g-5a) in 11 playoffs frays. Nashville’s third selection in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Franson was selected to the AHL’s All-Rookie Team in the 2007-08 campaign after leading league rookie defensemen in goals scored (11), assists (23), and points (34) in 69 games with the Admirals.
The Admirals are back in action tonight, Friday, October 16 at 9:30 pm (CDT) when they travel to Abbotsford for the first time ever to face the Heat.
