Sims Assumes New Position with Admirals

Milwaukee, WI—Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that the team has named play-by-play Broadcaster Aaron Sims as the Manager of Broadcasting and Outreach.
In his new role Sims will continue as the play-by-play voice of the Admirals for all 80 regular season contests as well as all Calder Cup Playoff Games. He will also serve as the host of Milwaukee Admirals Center Ice, heard every Monday night from 6:00 to 7:00 pm during the hockey season on 1250 WSSP, as well as emceeing special events like the team’s shows at Summerfest, the Wisconsin State Fair, and annual Celebrity Waiter’s Dinner. He will also increase his presence on milwaukeeadmirals.com with more frequent blog posts and timely updates of special interviews.
The Inver Grove Heights, MN native will also help the Admirals increase their presence in Southeastern Wisconsin by actively pursing speaking engagements for local community groups and schools and assisting the team with donation solicitations and follow-ups. Sims has spent the past five seasons as the team’s play-by-play broadcaster and served as an Account Executive for the past two years. Prior to joining the Admirals, Sims was the broadcaster for the University of Wisconsin Badger Hockey Team on Wisconsin Public Television and held radio jobs in Winona, MN, La Crosse, WI, and Madison.
