Yonkman Goes to Phoenix

Milwaukee, WI–Nolan Yonkman, the Milwaukee Admirals Captain for the past three seasons, has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Phoenix Coyotes.
Yonkman played the past four seasons with the Admirals, totaling 39 points (8g-31a) and 466 penalty minutes in 283 games. His career penalty minutes are the most of an Admiral since the team joined the AHL in 2001 and he is second to Darren Haydar in games played during that time. Last season Yonkman posted a career high 170 penalty minutes to go along with a pair of goals and seven assists in 76 games.
A native of Punnichy, Saskatchewan, the 6-foot-6, 253-pound Yonkman has appeared in 50 career NHL games with Washington, including a career-high 38 games for the Capitals in 2005-06.
