Milwaukee, WI–American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced that the league's Board of Governors has approved the following schedule format for the AHL's 2010-11 season.

For the tenth consecutive season, the Milwaukee Admirals will play in the AHL’s West Division in the Western Conference. Joining the Ads in the West Division include the Chicago Wolves, Houston Aeros, Peoria Rivermen, Rockford IceHogs, San Antonio Rampage, Texas Stars, and new league member Oklahoma City Barons, the primary minor league affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers.

Milwaukee will play 54 of their 80 games against opponents from their own division, including ten match-ups each with the Wolves, Rivermen, and IceHogs with five games at home and five on the road. The Admirals will take on Houston, Texas, and Oklahoma City a total of six times each and will play San Antonio eight times.

The Ads remaining 26 games will involve teams from the North Division, with eight of those contests coming against the Grand Rapids Griffins, and four each against the Lake Erie Monsters, Manitoba Moose, and the Abbotsford Heat. Milwaukee will also play the Toronto Marlies and the Hamilton Bulldogs two games apiece. The lone team in the North that the Admirals will not play is the Rochester Americans.

The 2010-11 AHL season will begin on October 8th with the full schedule to be announced later this summer.
