Predators Start Camp Sept. 17

Nashville, Tenn – Nashville Predators 2010 Training Camp will open with both on- and off-ice testing, physicals and meetings on Friday, Sept. 17 at Centennial Sportsplex. The team’s first on-ice practice sessions will be on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 9:15 a.m. at Centennial Sportsplex.
The majority of the Predators’ 12th training camp will be conducted at Centennial Sportsplex from Sept. 17-Oct. 3. The 56 players in camp will be divided into two groups for the first five days of action, with a scrimmage session scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. All practices at the Sportsplex are free and open to the public.
Out of the 56 players in camp with the Preds, 30 of them have played for the Admirals, including 18 who skated with the Ads in a game during the 2009-10 campaign.
The Predators will also hold a Rookie Camp from Sept. 13-16 with an 18-man roster featuring Predators draft picks from the past five seasons in addition to several free agent signees or invites. The prospects will hold practice at 1 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the Sportsplex before heading to Sunrise, Fla., for a pair of games against Florida Panthers prospects on Sept. 15 (6 p.m. CT) and Sept. 16 (11 a.m. CT) at Saveology.com Iceplex.
