Milwaukee Snaps Four-Game Skid
Nov 26, 2010
Steve Begin scored the only goal of the game and goalie Mark Dekanich stopped 29 shots to lead the Milwaukee Admirals to a 1-0 win against the Texas Stars Friday in Cedar Park, TX.
The win snapped a four game winless streak for the Admirals and moved their record to 4-3-0-1 on the ten-game road trip.
Dekanich recorded his third shutout of the season, tying him for the AHL lead with Peoria’s Jake Allen.
Defenseman Grant Lewis carried the puck across the middle of the Texas blue line through a couple checks. He fed Begin in the left circle and his wrist shot went through the legs of goalie Richard Bachman. It was Begin’s second goal of the season. Lewis and Ryan Thang recorded the assists on the only goal of the game.
The Admirals were able to kill a Kelsey Wilson penalty in the last 64 seconds to hold on for the victory.
