Admirals Earn Shoot-out Win Over Wolves

Rosemont, IL--Milwaukee scored three goals in four attempts in the shootout to beat the Chicago Wolves Tuesday, 3-2 in an Amtrak Rivalry game at the All-State Arena.
Goalie Mark Dekanich stopped 19 shots and three of four in the shootout to earn the win. Milwaukee outshot the Wolves 33-21.
Mark Santorelli, Linus Klasen and Jamie Lundmark, Milwaukee’s first three shooters, all scored in the shootout.
The Admirals are now 2-2-1-1 against the Wolves in the Amtrak Rivalry.
The Wolves scored at 2:16 of the first to take a 1-0 lead. Former Admirals star Darren Haydar fired a slapshot from the left wing circle past Mark Dekanich for his 12th goal of the season.
Milwaukee tied the game with Linus Klasen’s power play goal at 12:38 of the second period. Klasen’s slapshot from the left point trickled past Wolves goalie Peter Mannino and just crossed the goal line. The goal, Klasen’s 13th of the seasons and second on the power play, was assisted by Teemu Laakso and Roman Josi.
Chicago regained the lead at 17:12 of the second. Spencer Machacek scored his 14th of the year with a squibber just inside the goal post.
Milwaukee tied the game with Jon Blum’s power play goal at 1:20 of the third period. Klasen passed from the left circle to the right where Blum ripped a wrister over the left hand of Mannino. It was Blum’s third goal of the year, second on the power play, assisted by Klasen and Chris Mueller.
The Ads are back in action Sunday, December 26 at 7:00 pm versus the Rockford IceHogs at Rockford MetroCentre.
