Jan 7, 2011

Milwaukee, WI—Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Andreas Thuresson from Milwaukee and reassigned forward Linus Klasen to the Admirals. In addition, Milwaukee has recalled foward Dan Gendur from Rio Grande Valley (CHL).

Thuresson has 15 points (4g-11a) and 12 penalty minutes while appearing in all 38 of Milwaukee’s games this season. In four different stints with the Predators a season ago, the Kristianstad, Sweden native posted three points (1g-2a) in 22 contests, including an assist on Nov. 10, 2009 at San Jose. Now in his fourth North American professional season, Nashville's seventh choice, 144th overall (fifth round), in 2007 Entry Draft has amassed 95 points (43g-52a) in 239 AHL contests.

Klasen appeared in three games during his most recent recall. He made his NHL debut on Oct. 30 at Detroit and now has no points in four career games while averaging 12:53. At the time of his recall, the Stockholm, Sweden native was tied for sixth in the American Hockey League in goals (15) and game-winning goals (3), in addition to ranking fourth in the League in power-play markers (7, tie). In his first North American professional season the 5-8, 178-pound winger paces the Admirals in points with 27 (15g-12a) in 29 games.

This is the second recall of the season for Gendur, who had an assist in seven games for the Admirals in his first trip to Milwaukee. In 22 contests with Rio Grande Valley, he has 19 points (7g-12a) and 21 penalty minutes.
