Mueller, Bourque, Josi, Sloan Sent to Ads

Milwaukee, WI—Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced that the club has assigned forwards Gabriel Bourque and Chris Mueller, and defenseman Tyler Sloan to the Milwaukee Admrials. Defenseman Roman Josi was also placed on injured reserve, and will report to Milwaukee to start the season.
In addition, the Admirals have assigned defenseman Garrett Suter to Cincinnati of the ECHL, released forward Aaron Marvin from his PTO, and forward Josh Shalla has be returned to his junior team.
Mueller led the Admirals in scoring last season in spite of missing 13 games due to recall to Nashville. The Buffalo, NY native compiled 50 points on 24 goals and 26 assists and a +7 rating in 67 games with Milwaukee and then tallied 11 points (4g-7a) in 13 post-season contests. He also played in 15 games with the Predators, earning three assists in the process.
Bourque finished his rookie season last year in Milwaukee and totaled 18 goals and 18 assists for 36 points as well as a +10 rating in 78 games. In the playoffs he led the team with seven goals and tied for top spot with 13 points.
Sloan spent the 2010-11 season with the Washington Capitals, recording six points (1g-5a) in 33 games. In 99 career NHL contests with the Capitals since 2008, the Calgary, Alta., native has posted 17 points (4g-13a) and 50 penalty minutes while playing both forward and defense. Since turning professional for the 2002-03 campaign, he also has 45 points (9g-36a) and 380 penalty minutes in 306 American Hockey League games, winning the 2009 Calder Cup with the Hershey Bears.
The Admirals kick off the regular season on Saturday, October 8th at 7:00 pm at the Peoria Civic Center against the Peoria Rivermen. The Ads commence the home portion of their schedule on Friday, October 14th at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center against the Chicago Wolves.
