Admirals Average Attendance Up 7.4%
Apr 18, 2012
Milwaukee, WI— Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that the team’s total attendance for the 2011-12 season was 236,579 fans, an average of 6,226 fans per game over the 38 game schedule, an increase of 7.4% over the 2010-11 campaign. In addition, that average attendance was the most for the Admirals since the 2001-02 season.
“Thank you to our fans for making this an extremely special season,” said Greenberg. “We take pride in giving our fans the best entertainment experience in the American Hockey League and we are grateful that they choose to spend their discretionary entertainment dollars with us.”
The highlight of the season from an attendance perspective was the sold-our crowd of 17,386 on January 27th against Chicago. It was just the second sell-out since the Admirals joined the AHL in 2001 and it was the second largest crowd during that time frame. That game was one of six occasions when the Ads drew more than 9,000 fans in one game and from December 26 through the end of the season Milwaukee averaged 7,477 fans per game.
The Admirals kick off their Western Conference Quarterfinal match-up against the Abbotsford Heat on Friday, April 20th at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center.
