May 10, 2013
Milwaukee, WI – A total of 15 former Milwaukee Admirals have participated in the 2013 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, including 12 who are still alive in the chase for hockey’s most hallowed trophy.
The list includes players like Washington’s Matt Hendricks, who played only one game for the Admirals, to Boston forward Rich Peverley who played in 176 games in Milwaukee. Two head coaches also grace the list: Montreal’s Michel Therrien and the Bruins’ Claude Julien. Chicago’s Sheldon Brookbank and St. Louis’ Scott Nichol have not yet played in the post-season, but are on their respective team’s roster.
There have been 12 former Admirals to have their name engraved on the Stanley Cup, including Peverley, who was the last to do it back in 2011 with Boston.
