It's Gold Jerry, Gold!
Milwaukee, WI- The Milwaukee Admirals are excited to announce Steve Hytner, best known as Kenny Bania from the hit television series Seinfeld, will be making a guest appearance at the game January 21 against the Toronto Marlies.
Hytner will sign autographs and take pictures on the 200-level concourse before the game.
In Seinfeld Hytner played Bania, a hack comedian who Jerry disliked both for his exuberance and his perceived lack of talent. However at one point Jerry becomes Bania’s mentor, but mainly to boost his own ego. During this brief alliance Jerry gives Bania the joke “Why do they call it Ovaltine? The mug is round. The jar is round. They should call it Roundtine.” It turns out to be a hit and sparked his career, but to Jerry, Bania was just “a timeslot hit.”
Hytner has made appearances on different television shows including Two and a Half Men, The King of Queens, and Friends. He has also made it to the big screen in movies like The Haunted Mansion and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.
