Admirals To Televise Two Games
Milwaukee, WI—Admirals Owner/CEO Harris Turer announced today that the team will televise two upcoming home games on Spectrum Sports across Wisconsin. The games will be on Saturday, January 27th at 7:30 pm against the Ontario Reign and on Sunday, February 11th at 5 pm against the Stockton Heat.
“This is a tremendous step forward for the visibility of our organization,” said Turer. “Having games on Spectrum Sports allows us to expose new fans to our tremendous product, both on and off the ice. We look forward to a successful launch of TV games and then to build on that momentum.”
The Voice of the Admirals Aaron Sims will handle the play-by-play duties for the TV games and he will be assisted by color man and former Admirals goalie Dov Grumet-Morris. The Ads will still have their games broadcast on the radio on 105.7 FM The Fan with Ryan Miller providing the call. Miller’s call will also be available on the internet via AHLlive.com.
Spectrum Sports airs on channel 32/1332HD throughout the Wisconsin division, which ends up being the eastern half of the state. Spectrum Sports features live sporting events, tape-delayed games and other featured shows on a wide range of sports, including several high school, college, professional and amateur sports.
This is the first time since the 1998-99 season that the Admirals will broadcast live games. The Ads have shown game replays on Spectrum Sports for many seasons and will continue to do so.
