Carrier Wins it in OT for Ads

Milwaukee, WI--Adorned in Predator inspired goal jerseys for the team's Salute to Nashville weekend, the Admirals tied the score with just 10 seconds to play in regulation and then won it on Alex Carrier's one-timer in over-time to take a 5-4 win over San Antonio.

The win was the third in a row for the Admirals, who had dropped six straight prior to that.

Admirals Captain Trevor Smith gave Carrier the chance to play the hero when he deflected a shot past Spencer Martin with an empty Milwaukee net with 9.4 seconds left in regulation.

The Admirals got on the board first, courtesy of some pretty stick-handling by Tyler Moy. The Ads forward collected the puck along the San Antonio net carried it around two Rampage defenders and flipped a backhand saucer pass to a crashing Derek Army for his first goal of the season at 9:26 of the first.

However, just 57 into the second period former Admiral Felix Girard tied the game up with his ninth goal of the season. The Rampage took the lead at 2-1 at the 9:01 mark of the middle from off a goal from Reid Petryk.

The Ads responded just 32 seconds later when Freddy Allard fired a shot from the left point that found its way through traffic and by San Antonio goalie Spenser Martin.

The Rampage took the lead again with just over four minutes to play in the second on a one-timer from the slot by Nick Meloche.

Milwaukee would tie the score just over nine minutes into the third. Zengerle and Harry Zolnierczyk came into the Milwaukee zone 2-on-1. Zolnierczyk chipped the puck to Zengerle, who was tripped up but managed to roof the puck over the shoulder of Martin.

But for the third time in the game, San Antonio regained the lead, this time when Girard fired a shot from below the goal line that deflected off shoulder of an Ads defenseman and past Anders Lindback.
