Admirals Blanked by Stars
Milwaukee, WI--The Admirals saw their five-game point streak halted in a 1-0 loss to the Texas Stars on Saturday afternoon at Panther Arena.
Milwaukee tallied 27 shots on goal but former Admiral Mike McKenna stopped them all as the Ads were held off the scoreboard for the fourth time this season.
The Stars would get all the offense they would need just 2:04 into the game when Sheldon Dries batted a puck out of mid-air and it bounced off the inside pad of Ads goalie Anders Lindback and into the net.
Milwaukee had five cracks at the Stars on the power-play, and a 6-on-5 advantage for the final 1:27, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Lindback turned aside 20 shots in the game but was the hard luck loser.
The Admirals now hit the road for four games next week, beginning Monday afternoon at 2 pm Winnipeg against the Manitoba Moose. The Ads next home game isn't until Friday, March 2 when they play host to the Rockford IceHogs at 7 pm.
Fans can purchase tickets for Saturday’s game at the team’s office, located at 510 W. Kilbourn Ave, during the week from 9:00 am-5:00 pm.
