Ads Present Survivor Night

At some point in our lives cancer will affect us or someone we love. In America alone there are over 10 million people who have or have had cancer with 1.6 million more cases expected in 2012. This puts an ever-present importance on the funding for cancer research.

The Admirals know the importance of cancer research, especially for the state of Wisconsin with so many fantastic cancer research institutions. Which is why the Ads are thrilled to announce that the March 2nd game vs. the Rockford IceHogs at 7:00 pm has been designated as the team’s first ever Survivors Night.

“Whether having it yourself or seeing a family member or friend diagnosed, I think it’s safe to say we have all been affected by cancer,” said Ads president Jon Greenberg. “So this is a night of celebration for all those brave people that have beat cancer or continue to live with it.”

In an effort to recognize the brave people who have battled and continue to battle cancer, the Admirals will be giving them a free ticket in the bow section. The Ads will also be offering tickets to family members of the survivors for $16 with $4 of that going to one of three local cancer support organizations of their choosing. To receive a free ticket and order tickets for family members, fans must do so ahead of time.

The three organizations the Admirals have teamed up with are the MACC Fund, American Cancer Society and the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center.

To receive your free ticket or purchase tickets for Survivors Night, you can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0800 and ask for Kim Salli, or you can click here for the Survivors night flyer.
