Baptiste Traded to Maple Leafs

Milwaukee, WI--Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced Sunday that the team has traded forward Nicholas Baptiste to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for future considerations.

In addition, the Admirals have acquired forward Emerson Clark from the Toronto Marlies in exchange for future considerations.

Clark has a goal and five penalty minutes in six games with the Marlies this season and has five points (1g-4a) in nine games with the Allen Americans of the ECHL. The Le Gardeur, QC native has played in 95 career AHL contests split between the Marlies, Chicago Wolves, Utica Comets, and San Jose Barracuda, talling 29 points (14g-15a) and 206 PIMs in those games.

Baptiste had potted 12 goals, including two in the Admirals 6-5 OT loss on Sunday afternoon, and 10 assists for 22 points while playing in  55 games for the team this season. The Ottawa, ON native has 10 points (7g-3a) in 47 career NHL contests, all with the Buffalo Sabres.

The Admirals will continue their seven-game homestand when the visit the Texas Stars in Austin on Wednesday night. Milwaukee's next home game will be Tuesday, March 5 at 7 pm at Panther Arena.
