Milwaukee, WI--Pontus Aberg scored the game-winning goal in overtime, while Juuse Saros stopped all 22 shots he saw for his third shutout of the season as the Admirals took a 1-0 win over Chicago in Amtrak Rivalry action Saturday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Phoenix Copley was magnificent in net for the Wolves as he made 38 saves, many of which were in spectacular fashion.

Aberg's goal came off a pretty centering pass from Trevor Murphy just 1:29 into the extra session. It was his team-leading 16 goal of the season and s his sixth game winner, which is tied for second in the AHL.

After two even periods the Admirals turned up the heat in the third , peppering Copley with with 13 shots in just the first 11 minutes, including a breakaway by Max Reinhart, but he was up to the task each time.

Overall in the third Milwaukee registered a new season-high for shots in a period with 21, but overtime was still needed for Aberg to play the hero.

The last time Milwaukee had played a scoreless game through regulation was back on January 9th, 2015 when they topped Rockford 1-0 in OT with Marek Mazanec getting the shutout and Austin Watson scoring the game-winner.

The two teams will get right back at it on Sunday afternoon, finishing the home-and-home set at 3 pm at the Allstate Arena.

The Ads are back home next Friday night at 7 pm when they host the Grand Rapids Griffins at the BMOHBC.
