Join the Admirals Team
The Milwaukee Admirals want YOU to be part of their team! No, the Admirals aren’t looking for any burly defenseman, rather the Admirals want you to be part of their team for the American Diabetes Association 2008 Tour de Cure on Sunday, May 18th, 2008 at Grafton High School.
The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether participants ride 10 miles or 100K, they will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer them on!
Do you know someone affected by diabetes? Last year, more than 32,000 cyclists in 78 Tour events helped raise nearly $13 million to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
Fans can register for the Admirals Tour de Cure Team either in person at the ADA’s table on the concourse of the Bradley Center when the Admirals battle the Rockford IceHogs this Saturday, March 8th at 7:30 pm or via the web by clicking here.
In addition to the game, diabetic rocker Bret Michaels, lead singer of Poison and star of the VH1 hit TV show "Rock of Love," will perform in a free post-game concert. The first 25 people who sign up as part of the Admirals team for the Tour will receive a free on-ice pass to watch the concert from right in front of the stage!
