Admirals Loan Henderson to Texas
Milwaukee, WI--The Nashville Predators announced today that the team has loaned left Kevin Henderson from the Admirals to the Texas Stars. In addition, the Stars have loaned left wing Francis Wathier to Milwaukee.
Henderson had seven goals and seven assists for 14 points in 50 games with the Admirals this year. In 2012-13 the Toronto, ON native was third on the Ads roster with 17 points and added 12 assists and a +13 rating in 67 games. He also made his NHL debut, posting a goal in four games with the Predators.
In three plus seasons with the Admirals Henderson has totaled 54 points (28g-26a), 50 penalty minutes and a +11 rating in 147 games. He recently became just the 38th player since the Admirals joined the AHL to play in 145 games.
Wathier joins the Admirals having spent his entire nine-year professional career with the Stars organization. This season he has five goals and four assists for nine points and 41 penalty minutes in 48 contests.
He has played ten games in the NHL for the Dallas Stars, going pointless and earning five penalty minutes. His most productive season in the AHL game with Texas in 2011-12 when he finished fourth on the team with 42 points (18g-24a) in 77 games.
During the 2009-10 campaign he finished tied for fourth in Texas with 19 goals during the regular season and helped the Stars reach the Calder Cup Finals before falling to the Hershey Bears.
A native of St. Isidore, ON, Wathier will look to make his Admirals debut on Wednesday night when the Ads host the Iowa Wild at 7 pm at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
