Admirals Battle Back, but Fall to Stars

Cedar Park, TX--Forward Greg Rallo tallied three points to lead the Texas Stars to a 4-3 win over the Admirals Saturday night.

The Stars finished 3-5 on the power play in the game.

The loss was Milwaukee’s fourth straight (0-3-1-0).

An early power play allowed the Stars to grab an early lead. Texas forward Scott Glennie was wide-open in front of the net and buried a shot just 2:54 into the game.

The Stars took a 2-0 lead at 6:17 when Travis Morin tapped in a Rallo pass for his 18th goal of the season.

Texas made it 3-0 with another power play goal, this one from Rallo, at 8:56 of the first period. The Stars third goal came on its fifth shot. Texas didn’t record a shot the rest of the period.

Milwaukee got on the board with 2:26 to play in the first period. Triston Grant tapped a pass from the Admirals blue line to Colton Sissons. Sissons passed to Kevin Fiala in the right circle. Fiala shook a defender, skated into the slot and sent a shot into the net for his seventh goal of the season.

The Stars added another power play goal at 11:37 of the second period to claim a 4-1 lead. Derek Hulak slapped a rebound of a Rallo shot into the net for his 15th goal of the season.

Milwaukee defenseman Anthony Bitetto scored his first goal since Jan. 10, his third of the season, with 11 seconds remaining in the second period to make it 4-2 in favor of Texas. Bitetto was able to weave through some traffic into the left circle and float a shot beyond the glove of Stars goalie Jussi Rynnas for the tally, assisted by Joe Pendenza and Grant.

Admirals forward Colton Sissons scored his team-leading 21st goal of the season at 18:48 of the third, assisted by Viktor Arvidsson.

Milwaukee outshot Texas in the game 32-23.
