Greenberg Witnesses Milwaukee Sports History

Milwaukee, WI—Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg made history yesterday when he became the first Milwaukeean to witness two Milwaukee sports teams qualify for the playoffs in person on the same day.

Greenberg, who is in his fifth season at the helm of the Admirals organization, began his extraordinary feat while watching the Ads defeat the Peoria Rivermen 4-1 in a special afternoon matinee game at the Bradley Center. The win secured a berth in the post-season for the Admirals for the eighth consecutive season.

Sensing magic in the air, Greenberg raced to the United Center where he watched the Milwaukee Bucks top the Chicago Bulls 79-74 and clinch a spot in the NBA post-season for the first time since the 2006 campaign.

“This was a truly unique experience that I will never forget,” said Greenberg. “In addition to seeing both teams punch their tickets to the playoffs, I was very proud of the fact that we made it from Milwaukee to the parking lot at the United Center 95 minutes. We made unbelievable time which was a tribute to the driving skills of my brother and the I-Pass.”

In addition to his duties as team president, Mr. Greenberg will now open his own consulting business for teams that are on the playoff bubble and need that extra bit of inspiration to get over the hump.

The Admirals finish up the regular season with three games this week, beginning tonight in Chicago. The Ads play their last two games of the season at home beginning on Friday, April 9 at 7:00 pm against the Wolves and finishing Sunday afternoon at 5:00 pm versus the Grand Rapids Griffins. Fans can buy tickets for the final regular season home games, or the playoff games, by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
